I ordered this product from OverallBeauty.com, which was a great experience. It cost $15 sans shipping, but I also received a good-sized sample of a purple (my favorite color!) mineral eyeshadow.

This is a tube of small white fibers and is to be applied over wet mascara and covered with more mascara. You can repeat this process as many times as desired to reach incredible volume. I have to keep this post short since I need to get to work on my essay, but as always, send me a message if you have any questions, or post a comment.

Below are pictures with the results after 3 coats of magic lash. The lashes on my left eye (the right one in these pictures) are messed up, so its lashes don’t look as nice. I used Magic Lash with NP Set Mascara Runway mascara, which is similar to Great Lash. It’s important to use a runny mascara that spreads easily to cover all the fibers – you don’t want people to see little white hairs sticking our of your lashes! It’s Too-Faced’s Kabuki Brush (retractable), which I got for $28, and Sephora’s blackhead extractor tool, $19. I really love the Too-Faced brush. It cost less than some of my other brushes, and is softer..feels like butter. The extractor tool is pretty convenient. I’m not sure yet how to use the loops (one side has a thicker loop and the other side is a thinner wire), but if I push the end of it on my nose, I can get some clogged pores out. I’m not sure it’s worth $19 though; you could probably get a similar tool at a drugstore for around $8.

Since I started Youtubing (www.youtube.com/wheat636), I’ve found making videos is more convenient. Stil,l, I’m going to try to update this blog as consistently as I can. When I’m done with this quarter, I’ll be living in StL and taking a class/working, so I’ll have plenty of time to update the blog/make videos. Yayyy!

Both trays, each with 60 shadows, come out of the palette and you may place one into the top over so you can have access to all the shadows at once.

This red one doesn’t have a tutorial, but it was done using a dark red on the entire upper lid, and a bright red just a bit in the middle of the lid, then eyeliner.

I love this. It’s a natural finish, but I actually find Stila’s Oil Free makeup to have a more natural finish. If you apply for good coverage from Diorskin Nude foundation, you will get a more airbrushed-like finish that can’t be your real skin! The formula is very moisturizing but not shiny. I have this in Honey Beige, which matches my skin very well. It’s thick and I find it applies well with my Sephora stippling brush. Because it’s thick, it has great coverage and can be used to cover zits with only one layer. I really like this. It has replaced my Stila foundation as my #1.

A cream you apply to moist skin and leave overnight to even skin tone. Non-drying.

It smells like traditional Chinese medicine and makes you look like a ghost, but it definitely gets rid of skin discolorations! From zit scars, whatever-it makes your skin glow and look even! But now my face is noticeable lighter than my body, so I have to tan my face or hide my body…but it was still worth it. I got two jars for $8 on eBay. Yes! Hit me up if you have any questions about this product. It’s late so I may not have written a good review. Night guys!

I put in some Bed Head Superstar Thick Massive Hair lotion in. I love that stuff for a messy do.

I think I got the look I was going for, so I’m happy with my diy job.

Below is a subtle-ish tropical look I did with Cover Girl’s eyeshadow quad in Tropical. I want to pick up a Shadow Insurance or other shadow primer; they really make colors pop. The lightness of the colors makes this one a bit more wearable for people who are a little color-shy like myself.

At Sephora, I picked up Too-Faced Smurfy-Eyed Liquid liner in the white glitter. It also comes in royal blue. They have an adorable highlighter powder in the shape of a smurfette, complete with colors that blend into a nice neutral pearly beige great for brows and cheekbones.

I also got Benefit’s Georgia Peach blush ($28), which is very subtle on my skin and almost not noticeable. It has a yummy subtle scent. I should have gotten Coralist or Dallas instead. Coralist is a gorgeous bright shade that goes well with olive or darker skin tones.

I’ve been wanting to try this for a while: Make Up Forever’s HD Powder. The powder and brush duo cost around $70, but is well worth it. The brush is made of very dense, soft as butter bristles (I think they may be real fur), and the powder if fine and makes skin deflect light very evenly and with a kind of angelic glow. The white powder disappeared on my tan skin. I love this! The jar is pretty large, too, larger than Bare Minerals foundation jars.

Lastly, I picked up Sephora’s stippling brush ($35). I love this for applying liquid foundations or mineral powders. It picks up just the right amount so you never cake on makeup. It’s a very soft synthetic brush.

I’m not very good with eye makeup, but I’m trying to get more colors and learn where and how to apply them precisely. Below is what I ended up with. I cropped some out cuz I’m not looking very put together during finals week, sorry for the unkemptness!

So it’s pretty rough, but I lined my lids with bright blue Jemma Kidd liquid eyeliner in Covert, and dotted it on my lower lash line. You can see the blue on my lower lashes, which I really like since colored mascaras never do much. Then I put Jemma Kidd i-Design shadow in VIP (blue) all over my lid and a little below it. I used a Stila gold shimmer pot (discontinued) on the inside corners of my eyes and extended it to the bottom lid a bit. I used Jemma Kidd i-Design shadow in Modernist (purple) on the outsides of my lids, and since I didnt have green, I used a green Milani eyeliner and smudged some in the middle of my lid, but it didn’t turn out bright at all.

I love playing with eye makeup, but don’t have much experience. I’m definitely going to keep playing around. I think looking at eye charts online can help with placement of different colors – the precision really makes a huge difference, but first I need to invest in some good shadow brushes.

So I picked this up a while ago ago from Ulta. The whitening system is a duo consisting of a whitening toothpaste and accelerator gel that you put on your toothbrush in equal proportion. I never get results from mainstream (Crest, Colgate) whitening pastes, but I got good results from these. I’ve been drinking more than I need of coffee lately, and my teeth had been starting to show it. I hate Whitestrips and similar products; they taste bad and make my teeth sensitive. The toothpaste and gel kit worked well, but my teeth were not that bad to start with, but after just a week of using the paste & gel, my teeth were significantly whiter, and now, after two weeks, are even whiter than they were to begin with, crazy! The Quikee is a solution you drop onto your tongue and smear over your teeth with your tongue. It tastes good, but I only used it for the first week in conjuction with the paste & gel, and the second week I discontinued use and still saw improvements from the system. One pretty  major drawback is that the gel can really tear ar your mouth. It made my gums very sensitive and wore away at them so it felt the way canker sores do, which is why I’ve stopped using the system now and went back to my Colgate until I need to do a touchup again. I only used maybe 1/10 of the tubes. Overall, a great buy. You can use every other day or for a shorter period of time to avoid sensitivity.
